The novi Foundation for Cures will engage our community and support innovation via the Arizona Cancer Center of Excellence to eliminate barriers of cost, access, and education, fostering a culture that challenges the current environment to focus on outcomes and reduce U.S. cancer mortality rates. The foundation offers an opportunity to create a new operating model in the form of a collaborative incubator / accelerator, leveraging the current med and biotech ecosystem and assets in Arizona, improving the solution development process.
Biomarker Identification / Early Detection
We help the discovery and analysis of key biomarkers and measurable signals in the body that can detect cancer sooner and more accurately. By improving diagnostic tools, we work to catch cancer in earlier stages, boost survival rates, and ease the impact on patients and families.
Improving Clinical Trial Access and Volume in Arizona
We’re expanding access to clinical trials across Arizona so more patients can connect with breakthrough treatments. By building strong partnerships and better infrastructure, we’re helping make Arizona a leader in research and giving more people a chance to benefit from life-saving discoveries.
Stage shifting Strategy Development and Implementation
We work to catch cancer earlier, when treatment works better, survival rates are higher, and costs are lower. By supporting better screening, diagnostics, and access, we help shift care sooner, giving patients a stronger chance from the very beginning.

We support faster development of new cancer treatments by fueling pharmaceutical innovation in Arizona. Through strong partnerships, better infrastructure, and funding support, we help drug developers overcome barriers, bringing promising therapies to patients sooner and turning research into real-world impact.

The foundation will also advocate for policies to enhance access and preventative care, ensuring those affected by cancer can find their solution in AZ. We believe in collaboration and will actively work with stakeholders to advance cancer care and policy.
